Let's talk boudoir. It's tough being a woman. We are sisters, mothers, girlfriends, daughters and wives. We wear many hats and often lose ourselves in selfless actions caring for others. We live in a physical world where social media and ads are dictating our lives. We are bombarded with images daily that tell us what to EAT, how to LOOK, how to DRESS, how to FEEL, how to ACT, the list goes on. It's enough to break down our confidence and make us feel less than adequate as we attempt to hide what the world views as 'flaws'. I never realized how POWERFUL boudoir is until I started photographing it. It all started when good friend of mine who is "plus sized" scheduled a session with me. As the session went on I showed her the photos from the screen of my camera and by the end of it she was crying tears of joy. She was in shock that the photos were untouched, they were pure, raw, her. I was able to show her how beautiful she really is when she saw herself through a different perspective - the magic of boudoir. She spent the rest of the night taking 'selfies' because she couldn't get over how good she looked and felt. It was the most amazing feeling knowing that I gave my best friend this power to feel so beautiful and confident - and now I'm addicted. Making other women feel sexy, powerful, confident and happy lights the fire in my soul. So if you're feeling inadequate, insecure, or apathetic, let me prove you wrong.
